How we can help

We’re here to help you through this difficult time. It’s what neighbours are for.

Whether it’s making sure you have everyday essentials in your cupboards, or simply a friendly chat on the phone, Ross Good Neighbours will be here for all those isolating across the town.

Groceries delivered to your door by our volunteers. Click here for the order form or phone 01763 802046. A volunteer will call you back to take your order over the phone.

Phone friends – a daily phone call to check you are OK , see if there is anything you need or just to have a friendly chat. Leave a message on 01763 802046 or email help@rosscdt.org.uk and we will call you back to arrange this.

Petcare – if you are unable to care for your pets as usual our volunteers may be able to help. Leave a message on 01763 802046 or email pets@rosscdt.org.uk and we will get in touch to find out what you need.

Volunteering – even in isolation you can register to join our team and help others through phone calls, for example taking shopping orders over the phone.

Oximeters – At the request of local GPs, Ross CDT has used some of the generous public donations we have received to purchase 20 oximeters. These little machines measure oxygen levels and are easy to use. If your GP has concerns about your oxygen levels during a telephone consultation,
they can ask one of our volunteers to deliver one to your house. It will come with full instructions and you will be welcome to borrow it for as long as the doctor thinks you need it. The oximeters are available at 3 locations in Ross, and also in Brampton Abbots, Bridstow, Lea, Upton Bishop and Weston-under-Penyard.
Please note we are only able to issue Oximeters if a GP asks us to – they are not available for general loan.
