Keeping Ross Buddies Safe

As winter approaches and the nights get darker, it’s very important that our growing team of Ross Good Neighbours’ Buddies continue to stay safe and ensure that the residents they shop for and help each week can easily identify the team when they visit their homes or deliver leaflets.

The Safety Shack in Ross-on-Wye – suppliers of work wear, PPE supplies, garment embroidery and printing – has very generously donated 50 high viz vests complete with the Ross Good Neighbours’ logo to Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust’s Buddies to ensure they can continue to work safely in the coming months.

Bryan Mason, Managing Director (right) of The Safety Shack based on the Haigh Industrial Estate, Alton Road, commented: “We understand that it is a priority for teams to stay safe in the dark winter months and decided to donate a number of high viz vests to the Ross Good Neighbours team – they do a great job and we are delighted to be able to support a local charity.”

The kind donation comes on top of a previous donation of face masks that The Safety Shack provided the charity with earlier this year following the first lockdown in March 2020.

If you or someone you know needs help during the pandemic – for example, if you are self-isolating or need help with shopping, light DIY, gardening or pet care – please contact Ross Good Neighbours’ Helpline on 01989 313002 or email help@rosscdt.org.uk and one of our friendly volunteers will get in touch with you to assist.
