This Thursday 12 November, the Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust will broadcast its second in a series of live Facebook events alongside Herefordshire Council’s Director of Public Health. The live community events launched last month, are designed to connect more effectively with the community and to address local issues affecting Ross-on-Wye and Herefordshire.

The topic for this week’s free online event – starting at 6pm on www.facebook.com/rosscdt – will be ‘Life in Lockdown’ and aims to cover questions regarding the importance of the whole community following the Covid-19 safety rules put in place over the next four weeks. Now more than ever it is crucial for us to come together as a community if we are to enjoy Christmas with family and friends – governments are unable to stop a pandemic, only we can, as individuals and communities.

Dr Simon Lennane, GP and Clinical Primary Care Network Director, will be joined by Karen Wright, Director of Public Health, Herefordshire Council, and Jane Roberts, Chair Ross-on-Wye Community Development Trust. If you have a question for the panel, you can email comms@rosscdt.org.uk in advance of the event, or send in your questions live via our Facebook page.

Dr Lennane commented: “This week’s event, in the light of this second lockdown, will aim to cover questions around the best ways to stay safe and how the community should continue to be vigilant. We also plan to discuss the role of adequate ventilation to keep the virus at bay. We are delighted to be joined by Karen Wright, Herefordshire Council’s Director of Public Health, to ensure consistent messages are conveyed to our communities across Herefordshire and to keep us connected with our residents”.
